Annexure A: Details of Business Activities

Attributes and Characteristics to be upheld and maintained:

Integrity All Agents must act with integrity at all times. They must be honest, loyal, and trustworthy.
Technology Literate Agents must understand how to use a SmartPhone, and be open to learning how to use new technology that the business provides.
Financially Literate Agents must understand how to balance the costs of running their business versus the money made.
Customer Focused Agents must know how to work with and manage their customers. They must implement the Treating Customer Fairly (TCF) approach, and ensure that good service is rendered at all times.
Communication Skills Agents must be able to speak well to all individuals and be able to explain the money transfer product well to encourage sales
Entrepreneurial Skills Agents must have a good sense of business and be passionate about creating a successful and well-run business.

 

Requirements:

  • Internet connection
  • Smart cell Phone
  • Valid and working Email address
  • Pass the Agent exam with a minimum of 80%

Business Activities:

  • Active engagement with potential clients – these being Migrant Labourers, Foreign Nationals or South African residents who have the need to send a money transfer.
  • Representing the Shop2Shop Money Transfer brand and business with integrity and honesty. Always upholding the rules and regulations of the business to ensure that no regulation is over looked.
  • Capturing new client’s personal information into the system accurately and correctly.
  • Taking photos of all new clients FICA documentation and signed Mandate so that all information is clear and legible, and uploading the documents into the system when creating a customer.
  • Ensuring that all documentation relating to client verification and their transactions are kept private, confidential and safe.
  • Ensuring that the Face-to Face and the Non-Face-to-Face receipt of documentation requirements and verification are met.
  • Capturing cross border transaction values into the system accurately.
  • Providing the clients with invoices detailing their successful transaction.
  • Providing clients with any after sales service.
  • Attend all training sessions given by the business.
  • Write the Agents exam annually to stay up to date with changes in the business and legislation.
  • Ensure open communication with Head Office is kept.
  • Working hours must be flexible as most clients registrations will typically happen outside of normal working hours.
